Day 2 of summer camp! Today, we had so much fun. We read an interactive book today about things that we can find or bring to the beach such as sunglasses, shells, waves. We practiced identification and attending to a task as the kids had to place the matching items in the book. We played with kinetic sand which had hidden seashells and letters. This was a great way to practice using core vocabulary words of "in" by saying "Look in the sand." We practiced fine motor skills by putting stickers in the circles on our beach items! We practiced our counting skills. Counting different items such as flip flops and beach balls and identifying the number we counted. Boom cards is also a great time to practice taking turns and waiting for our friends to take their turn. See you tomorrow!
Today, we had an awesome Thursday to wrap up the first week of summer camp! We read Corduroy at the Beach. We played with interactive games online involving counting, matching, and vocabulary. Today, we used magnifying glasses to look closely at different kinds of seashells! We read an interactive book that is about things that we can find at the beach such as seaweed, beachball, etc. During craft time, we colored and used spray bottles to create cute and fun seashells! This was so much fun as we worked on fine motor skills! Have a great weekend and see you next week!
